"It is with great sadness that I try to do justice to those fine fellows who have been called upon to make the supreme sacrifice in this terrible war. To all parents, wives and friends we extend our deepest and most heartfelt sympathy. We look back on the time when, as small boys, they were entrusted to our care , when we helped to train their minds and characters to meet the troubles of the world. It was little thought then, that theirs' would be the fate to face the horrors of a dreadful war; that they all gave of their best in fearless and gallant courage is evidenced by their actions which speak louder than words. Brave souls, we honour your memory for ever and are proud to call you "Old Highbury Boys"."
